It is an aspect of personal value and is the state to be distinguished from the state of morbid health in which a person has only one disease. The term is derived from the word 'health' itself which refers to the ability to bear the pressure of bodily functions in order to maintain an optimal level of health. Health encompasses all the processes that support, improve and maintain the good health state.

The term health is commonly used in comparison to disease and disability, as both states are not the same but refer to the same state. It is important to understand that health refers to the condition of the mind and body.
